24 in. x 18 in. linen canvas using Liquitex heavy body acrylics. This painting was completed as a challenge from a friend. Her favorite roses are yellow and this definitely was a challenge as yellow paint can be very tricky to get the results one is looking for. The name “Mariposa” came about because the petals of this rose seem to flutter like the wings of a butterfly.
